Any rumors on who may challenge Grassley? |
|
I had hoped Vilsack would take a run, but my guess is his current gig would stop that. I would hate to see Bruce or Dave leave their respective jobs. I assume Boswell is too old. Ed Fallon, much as I love him would get creamed. Any one in the state legislature ....? So what are you hearing? I would hate to see us end up with another Grassley / Small debacle. (BTW I am not denigrating Art Small. Art is a great man.) Were Bruce or Dave to run, who would be the heir apparent to either of them?

Not Tom, but Christie. She isn't moving to DC with Tom, but is staying in Iowa to work.

2. Has name recognition, good public record |
|
She would solve that little problem Iowa has electing women. Hearing her name floated gives me hope. What about Patty Judge?

3. Gronstal or Murphy might be up to the challenge |
|
But Judge would get blown out. She's not much younger than Grassley and her record as Sec. of Ag is not stellar. She would have finished 4th in the Dem primary for Governor if she hadn't dropped out.

4. I hope whoever it is... |

They put more than a token effort into beating Grassley in 2010.
