So another Iowa lawmaker opens mouth and inserts foot |
|
By now I suppose we've all heard about Grassley's comments on the AIG bonus payout. I must say that I do agree with him that they should resign now, but suicide? C'mon Chuck, don't say stupid stuff. King does enough of that.

2. When it comes to Iowa Republican lawmakers |
|
That seems to be the default position, they go around everywhere with foot crammed in mouth. Here's one of the links to the story: http://www.whotv.com/news/who-story-grassley-aig-031709,0,68876.story

4. Just wrote Chuck and asked that he also call for some contrition |
|
from those who abdicated their responsibility and did no oversight. And don't tell me it was Clinton.

These AIG bonuses. Those fuckers can die a thousand deaths. Sorry, people. Greed is not good. It's what killed us.

6. The Daily Show just used Grassley's "sucking the tit of the taxpayer" quote to end tonight's show. |

8. Doesn't Grassley-and his family-get a lot of farm subsidies? |
|
And that isn't "sucking at the tit of the taxpayer'?

13. I grew up on a farm and it was always teat |
|
It wasn't tit, but teat growing up on the farm. The disinfectant we applied after finished milking the cows was called teat-dip, not tit-dip.

12. Well....seppuku actually. I would rather they all had to rehabilitate |

low income housing manually for the next fifty years. Or build levees in Louisiana.
