Want to laugh? Laura Bush special guest for Motivation Tour |
Saw the ad in today's Gazette. 2 big shows in Iowa, one in CR, one in DM Make more money - be a success - et cetera and et cetera. Speakers: Colin Powell - ok Zig Zigler - how to get it all etc. Rudy 9iu11ani - how to make it through a crisis (really?) Special Guest - Laura Bush.
Okay - what in Laura Bush's life could possibly qualify her as a motivational speaker? Married a rummy and stupid 'mercans made him president. And what in the hell did she have to do with that? And those wonderful kids? Or maybe the zantac? Maybe she could give her quit smoking tips? Told my daughters once - if they turn out like Laura Bush I'd disown them.

1. Yuck. And people will pay to see them. |
I don't think you could pay me to see any one of those. Well, maybe Powell, but I'd rather listen to nails on a chalkboard that listen to Rudy or Laura or Ziggy. :puke:

2. They had one of those in Moline |
Except we didn't get Laura Bush. Or Colin Powell for that matter. They had Zigler and Giuliani though. Didn't attendt that one, won't attend either of these.

3. Laura is highly motivated |
by the desire to get the hell away from Dumbya. He seems like he'd be a mean drunk.

5. yea. Does the public pay them or do they pay the public? |
I'd want at least a hundred to even be in the same building as the zonker.

7. Did some research on these "presentations" after my place of employment offered |
free tickets to attend. They are mostly product-pitch live infomercials, sprinkled with a few short speeches by the "featured" guests. Some comments on these also mentioned a very in-your-face Christian "you must accept Jesus in your life" message from the hosts of these events, a husband & wife team.
