Iowa City healthiest town in U.S.
In addition to being way up there in the list of gay friendly cities, Iowa City has also been listed as the healthiest city in the U.S.

Iowa City ranked first after taking into account access to local foods, short commutes, sidewalks, pollution, green spaces and good weather.

Coming in first place was Iowa City, followed by Boulder, Colorado; Logan, Utah; Northampton, Massachusetts; and Charlottesville, Virginia.

2. Good weather?
Everything else sounds about right, but good weather? By whose standards? Oh well, to each their own I suppose. Iowa City is a great place to be regardless of the weather.

3. I always thought winters in IC were particularly ghastly and
that the summers were just insufferably hot and humid. Did the climate change in the last few decades?

4. I believe it is due to the marijuana vapors that permeate the air
Allows for a certain mellowness in the citizens.

5. YOU can bike just about anywhere in IC
I remember living in IC one summer and didn't use a car at all. Everything I did was from my bike..
