Who is Rob Getemmy and why should you care?

Looks like Rob Getemmy is now the favorite for Republicans to face Dave Loebsack this fall.
Who is this guy? The RCCC has endorsed him.
Based on his website it seems like he is a teabagging faux christian all the way.
If he can rise that fast from nowhere it tells me a few things:
1) he must be taken seriously
2) lies will probably a main staple (eg on his campaign site "Loebsack votes against constituents" headline about health care)
3) Repubs are really hurting for candidates.

But he needs to be taken seriously.

1. I see Miller-Meeks signs already. Never heard of Getemmy...

I don't know...Miller-Meeks almost seems reasonable, for swing-voter types...would a way-right-wing guy have a chance in our district?

2. remember that the wingers WILL vote and 3M has pissed them off

they consider her a librul.
I wouldn't put money on her winning the primary. I think she has to get 35% or it goes to district convention #2. My guess is that will more winger than her.

I didn't have any of his classes but a few of my 'mates did and most thought (correctly) he was a raging christian fundie. Were irritated by him wasting precious class time giving his view of current politics.
