Anybody know what kind of turnout there was for the Democratic |
|
primaries? Easy to find info on how the Rethugs turned out, but not our side.

1. Locally.. the Democrats did not do as big a turnout as the Republicans |
|
But we did not have the split they were dealing with.. Tea Party is big in the 5th.
The Democrats were pretty jovial at the polls yesterday (I sort of know all the election officials) .. and the Republicans well.. they were a bit on the grim side.

2. Based on the big races Dems- @67,000. Repugs @225,000 |
|
There just wasn't much draw for Dems to vote. I hope this doesn't portend a low turnout in November. My guess is desire to remove Grassley will bring out the vote in November.

3. It was pretty darn close to an uncontested primary. I don't think it says much about November |
|
especially if we get out the vote. :patriot:
Republicans on the other hand, the Gov thing was a big deal for them.

4. I am sure every candidate will have a GOTV to get that vote out. |
|
Rs also had what they thought were tightly contested races in the 2nd and 3rd house districts.
