Health Care Reform and Wussy Democrats |
|
I was told by an Iowa state senator that Iowa legislators were discouraged by their leadership from setting up or attending any rallies or press conferences touting the new benefits of the health care overhaul.
Meanwhile, the White House is doing a terrible job with messaging, including the inability to explain to Americans how they will benefit from the health care changes (Not enough changes in my book, but that is another discussion...)
I think our Democratic Party "leaders" actually fear the people, because they are under the mistaken impression that this is a conservative-majority nation. It is not. It is a center-left nation, on issue after issue.
How much longer do we have to put up with inept "leadership" and non-existent messaging from "our" party?

1. I think the White House is doing a pretty good job, putting a human face on things, explaining |
|
the benefits pretty well. Not getting much media coverage.
The problem is the amount of total bullshit the front line dems have to get past - "pulling the plug on grandma". If they fear anything it is not the people, but the powerful right-wing noise machine that just makes shit up.
