local legislative forums - please attend.

Folks,
Most state legislators conduct legislative forums in their districts while their state legislatures are in session. Often they do so on Saturdays.
This seems like an ideal place for us to confront Republican legislators and ask them what their plans are. It would also be a good time to find out if what they are doing is in response to some quid-pro-quo for campaign money.

I am not sure how you can find out when and where your particular forum is, I would suggest calling your local legislators office.
Please contact all local unions to make sure they know when and where the forums are and ask that they send some folks.
And be sure to bring a car full or van full with you.
Let them know you exist and you are pissed.

1. Jeff is sick of politics as usual

Guns, gay marriage, union busting, defunding education (which seems strange for a political science professor) and corporate tax cuts we can’t afford? Aw shucks Jeff that seems pretty much like politics as usual to me. I can solve the budget crisis that you are slaving away at 16-18 hours a day in 3 seconds. No tax cuts for corporations- If you would like to think outside the box just have them pay their fair share of taxes to start with.

3. My rep. is having a forum from 10-12 Saturday morning

But I work on Saturdays so I cannot go. I simply can't afford to miss any days at this time.
