I see where both of our Senators voted nay on the debt ceiling deal |
|
I bet they had polar opposite reasoning though. Think I'll make my every now and then call to grassley and ask him what he's doing to create good manufacturing jobs. Every so often, one has to be a fly in the ointment.

1. I told Grassley to vote no because it has no Balanced budget Constitutional Amendment |
|
I told Harkin to vote no because we can't survive any more job killing cuts.

2. Grassley said it didn't cut deep enough |

not enough people would be on the streets starving, begging for nickels. Keep an eye on the Grass-man events page. he usually swings around Iowa during recess. However I think he did the area by Davenport early in the year. http://grassley.senate.gov/events/Weekly-View.cfm?day=3&month=8&year=2011

I went but some guy kept bringing up farm subsidies and how wrong they were because people were getting wealthy by not farming perfectly good land. And that basically monopolized the whole conversation. If he comes back around here, let's hope that 1- they don't let that guy talk, and 2- grassley talks in something other than circles. I once asked Evan Bayh a question and told him I wanted a simple "yes" or "no" answer. And by golly, he gave it to me. I asked him if he was for everybody in the USA having health care and he said "yes". He then left the room and started shaking hands, etc. I guess it's because he lied.
