Old Roy signed on with the "Truth for a Better Lawrence" crowd, better known locally as T-FaBLe. T-FaBLe took money from outside entities (mostly developers), supporters of Wal-Mart, you know the "Growth at any cost" crowd. I stopped caring what Roy did then so I don't care what he is doing now. He can kiss my ass. He sold out, lent his name to the contractor/over-developer/eco-terrorist crowd and their candidates. Fortunately, the Progressive Lawrence Campaign swept the elections and garnered a super-majority on the city commission and was able to stop Roy's Boys from further destroying the town I was born in and will die in.

I don't give a shit about North Carolina and I sure don't give a shit about Roy. I was happier than a pig in shit when he left.

I love my Jayhawks. I go to football and basketball games. I'm also an active alum. I love my university and I love my town. I also love my coaches. I have sat in Bill Self's office and shot the shit. We talked about mutual friends in Oklahoma (where we both attended high school) and reminisced about our old hang-outs. Whenever I see him he makes it a point to say "hello." So on top of everything else I love my Self.
