I caught an article in the Wichita Eagle about Conroy (sorry, no link) . He's not running an active campaign or raising any money, he just added his name to the ticket so that Brownback wouldn't be running un-opposed.

that a lot of people thought that no one was going to oppose Brownback.
I've met Jones several times, and was going to do serious volunteer work for him, until I got asked to run for the Kansas State House myself. I'm very concerned that he's off to such a late start that he has no chance whatsoever, but at least there will be a name on the ballot in November with the D after it.
