Anyone else get this letter from Dean? |
|
Monday I wrote to you about our progress growing the party from the ground up, and put the timetable in your hands. Democrats everywhere overwhelmingly responded to the challenge. The goal was $250,000 by Friday to add another state to the program -- you hit it in only 48 hours.
That means organizers and other resources can be immediately put on the ground in one more state: Kansas. It's a so-called red state where we know we can win. We have won state-wide before -- and building an organized, permanent grassroots base will help elect Democrats up and down the ballot.

I wanted to give again. But just so tapped out I didn't. I did send a long letter explaining our local pary's success with my last donation to the first letter he sent out. I hope I get some sort of response.
I think he is doing a great job.

It surprised me that he's moving the DNC into Kansas so soon. But it's a good move. And Missouri was one of the first states Dean got to work on. He's doing a good job of laying the groundwork in this part of the country.

since Jim No-Talent is one of the seats we should be able to take back in 2006. However, we do not have a candidate yet. That is troublesome. Suggestions - Claire McCaskell? She has lost statewide already. How much buyer's remorse is there for Blunt?
I do not know what he hopes to win in Kansas, maybe Ryun's seat, but I heard that Boyda moved back out of the district, so who is a strong candidate for that? Gilstrap? Gag. I hope they can find someone to run against Tiahrt even if it is a sure loss. A losing candidate in 2006 will be a stronger candidate in 2008. It is better than no candidate.
