John and Elizabeth Edwards coming to Lawrence, KS Sunday!

Apparently they felt bad that there were so many people waiting for them last night and the train didn't stop. So they'll be in Buford Watson Park (aka "Train Park") tomorrow at 1 pm for a rally.

Let's give them a big crowd tomorrow too!

1. Oh this is just so cool!

I am going to do everything in my power to be there, we were going to see them in KC but had to go home. I had thought about trying Lawrence last night but was exhausted after yesterday in KC. This is just a very nice gesture, I am impressed.

On Edit Is that the park just West of downtown? Off Tennessee?

and confirming the site. I know parts of Lawrence really well, some of it a little and the rest not at all. Really, what was written by the person from Kansas is so true. It seems to most of the country we do not really exist. To politicians we have not really ever existed unless they were from here. I fancy myself unaffected by this so I am surprised at how much this gesture means to me. I think it might make a lot of difference to quite a few folks. We don't have many electoral votes but it would sure be nice to have them fall into the Kerry/ Edwards slot. Thanks for the heads up, I would hate to read the paper in the morning too late to get there.
