Well, it turns out Roger Ramjet, aka Adam Taff, |
|
has pled. Dear me oh my. Turns out he took the money out of his campaign funds to pay for a house then got the house from a buddy who gave the money right back to Adam, who then put the money right back into his campaign fund.
Can I get a deal like this, even though I'm not an ace jet flyer? I just wanted to know. Dang it, being an underachiever.
Correct me if I'm wrong on my facts. I think I'm pretty close, and I'm not giving a link because I'm lazy, plus I don't know how. Or both. ;-)

3. the part that really bugs me about it |
|
is the cost of the house he was buying. Nobody with a $1 million+ house can possibly represent me. But I suppose it is almost impossible for somebody from the middle class or working class to run for Congress.

7. I'd prefer to stay in the urban core. |
|
That doesn't mean I can't have a mansion. There are some damned fine houses here. Would it hurt my chances at election if I made one into a kind of commune? I'm very, very left.

there are some beautiful mansions. We can start there.
Sure, commune - NO problem. You could maybe open up a wing for homeless people. That could get you some sympathy votes.

9. At least they'd have an address. |
|
They could then register to vote. For me, of course.

Might as well apply Socialist principles to the corruption.

12. Sure it is, just ask the Duke-Stir |
|
He upgraded his housing - on both coasts! He represented his constituency for years and did it extremely well. He got deasl for them that really helped them out. Unfortunately the constituency he supported were the military contractors paying for his houses and not the ones that blindly elected him time and time again.

Adam, a good upstanding Republican, playing goofy with campaign funds for his own enrichment?
Gotcha!
