Steve Rose has endorsed Bush. |
|
Oh, yuck. It's in this morning's Sun newspaper. The front page "editorial" has the usual crap about how Bush is a strong leader and will make us safer. I guess his tax cuts matter more to him than huge deficits, brazen lies, and a president who's an idiot.
I'm going to need to call them up and tell them to stop throwing that useless paper on my front lawn, since I don't have a parrot cage to line.

who publishes a weekly free newspaper thrown in every yard in Johnson County. He says he's a moderate, but this endorsement of bush proves he can't be.
Steve Rose is a piece of work. I rarely agree with his stance on issues. I stopped reading his paper a long time ago and now consider it garbage because I am forced to pick it up out of my yard every Thursday and throw it away.

My brain is so stuffed with bits of information that I'm having trouble accessing--I thought this was someone I in south-central Pennsylvania should know about.
Just now I got a spam ad from Overstock. I remember I was going to reply with a pungent comment, but I don't remember what or why.

3. Blech. I saw that this morning too. Bush "the clear choice"??? |
|
I'm not sure why I still pick that paper up, since I always read Rose's front page editorial, get annoyed, and turn to the editorial page to get even more annoyed ... :eyes: Then I go back to the Internet, where the smart people are. :pals:

4. I used to read the Talk Back column |
|
I think that is cool, you can call in, say anything you want, and you don't have to leave your name. Some of the things people say are hilarious.
After bush was selected in 2000, I called and quoted my favorite button "I'm sorry, I was selfish, I was greedy, I was uncaring, I was a Republican". And they printed it!
Then the column became full of idiotic comments about dogs barking at night and other silly neighborhood squabbles so I quit reading it. Another thing to blame on bush - that column went downhill right afer he was elected. :)
I never have liked Steve Rose anyway. Didn't like his dad either. Fortunately, our trash goes out Thursday nights, so The Sun can go right from the yard into the barrel.

5. Sometimes I still read it, but it's always someone raving about |
|
having their garage sale signs stolen, or a Republican raving about how Steve Rose is a closet Democrat! :eyes:

7. He is also on a mission |

to discredit the KC Star. Kinda silly if you ask me.
When you consider that Overland Park is the 2nd largest city in Kansas, it's sad that we don't have a decent newspaper.
