Statements from area superintendents re: charters and vouchers

Our local PBS station had a round table discussion with 4 area superintendents to discuss several issues. They made some interesting comments.

"There is motivation in forming charter schools to segregate people. It has been said to me directly 'We don't want THOSE kids in my school.'"

"It is selecting and sorting for political purposes. It has no business being in educational conversations at all."

"Charter schools and vouchers are very detrimental to society as a whole."
