A man who kills his wife can get remarried in prison |
|
but the state of KS won't allow people of the same sex to marry.
I'm talking about Marty Miller, the guy who strangled his wife almost two years ago so that he could date other women. There was an article in Thursday's Lawrence Journal World that some stupid woman is tying the knot with him, even though he's serving 30 years to life for murder. If this wasn't bad enough, the whole damn thing had to be approved by the state of Kansas, and they gave it a green light!
So how is the marriage of two men or two women more dangerous to our society than the union of a psychopath to a woman of dubious intelligence and more than likely very low self-esteem?

1. I know. I was sickened when I read that he was planning to marry. |

It was a terrible crime, and I don't like seeing him marry again. (Yes, I know they'll have limited time together, but still ... I'm having trouble accepting this. Probably because I knew and liked the woman he strangled to death.)
It does say something about the state's opinion of the GLBT community that they think his marriage is acceptable, while a gay marriage is not. :banghead:
