KC area DUers it's time for a meetup!!! |
|
It's been way too long and we absolutely do need to get together. Several of you said weekends were better. So after consulting with my meetup committee, we have set a date!
July 15 - Sunday 5:30 or 6:00 pm until ? ? ?
Flea Market in Westport
If you are interested, some of us will be at the Nichols Fountain on The Plaza from 4:00 to 5:00 at our regular weekly peace vigil and you are more than welcome to join us then.
If you need directions, PM me.
No need to RSVP but I do expect to see you all there!!

Yes they replay it a lot. I also have on-demand but that doesn't show next week's previews. If it weren't for closed captions I'd have trouble keeping up.

Christopher is back on drugs and banging the realtor that Tony still has a soft spot for, not to mention Christopher is married and has a child on the way.
Carm is thinking a lot about Ade and is pushing just a little too much. So much so that Tony is trying to keep her busy by getting her spec house back on track.
Phil Leotardi is down with heart problems. This is bad timing especially with the tensions building btw New Jersey and NY mobsters.
AJ brings up a young hispanic woman with a child for Christmas and Meadow has moved to California with Finn.
Sil and the other guy kill one of Phil's NY guys (one who helped off Vito) and people are wondering where he went.
Agent Harris intimates to Tony that someone close to him is in danger.
Yep, those story lines aren't going to go anywhere. ;)

It helps a lot. I'm really looking forward to the meetup! The thing is, I still haven't finished painting my house, and I decided to update my kitchen at the same time. So now I have to be a grown-up and finish the job. But, when I'm done, look out!

I've been having back problems so my contribution to scraping is close to nil. My brother, the main scraper, twisted his ankle when he took the dogs for a walk (as a favor to us) and was off work for a couple of weeks recuperating. So, we're not done with our house either.
I'm looking forward to the next meet up too.

I've watched too many horror movies and crime TV. A mirror above the sink might be a good thing. At least it would give me a head's up when the cops/feds bust through the door (since SCOTUS did away with "knock and announce") to haul me to Gitmo.

BTW, did you hear that our new puppy likes Guinness? When Proud was here I opened a bottle and some of it bubbled out onto the floor. The German Shepherd went for it and licked all up. It's the only beer I've seen her have that reaction to. To keep your stash safe, stay away from Shepherds.

Did I tell you I suck at matchmaking? The last time I tried to set up someone it was a disaster. One of my brothers (one I adopted) broke up with his long time girlfriend. He dropped by and hinted that he was ready to start dating again. I thought and thought about it. Finally I called him up one day and described someone I thought he'd like to meet. He was really interested until he found out who it was. He knew her, had already dated her and never wanted to see her again in this life time (nor does he want to see her in future lifetimes). My second try wasn't any better. As a matter of fact right now she won't talk to me and he never mentions her name. She won't talk to me much any more because she doesn't know how I can still be friends to both of them. She wants me to drop him as a friend since she doesn't like him. Frankly, I've known him longer and he doesn't bitch about her. Besides, he has season tickets in Allen Fieldhouse and I/we go to games with him.
I'll try. Are there particular traits you're looking for? Hair color? Body shape? Interests? Give me something I can work with other than she must like Guinness and politics.

For years we've wondered how wasps have gotten into the house. Now we know. This is an established nest. My brother is allergic to bee venom. We found out when he was younger and got stung. My mom took him to the hospital and they gave him a shot of penicillin. That's when we found out that my brother, like my dad, is also allergic to penicillin. :eyes: We're not sure if he's allergic to wasp venom and he really doesn't want to find out either.
That would be cool. We'd love to drop by your house after the meetup.
