Anyone interested in a sign painting party for Boyda? |
|
We've got a trailer sign (8' x 12' on both sides) that we are donating to the Boyda campaign. The only problem is: we have to paint it. So, we're planning to do just that this Saturday (Aug. 5) out at Burton's Hollow. And as long as we're out there painting we'd figure we'd make a party of it. No big thing, just a few beers and burgers while we work. We've already got a few locals who said they'd help us but I thought it would be a good chance for some of the local DU'ers to meet some of the Lawrence progressive-activist crowd and make them DU'ers too.
If you're interested, PM me and I can fill you in on the particulars. Hope to see y'all Saturday.

I'll get an exact time from Rex and post it. MuseRider said she would try to make it too. Do you think Kite can make it?

He'll be there all day. I'll be out there around 2. If you can't make it Saturday, we'll be out there Sunday too. We're already signed up to do another trailer sign.

I will not be there. After spending two weeks with only intermittent transportation and having my transmission rebuilt my truck is still not running. Turns out the computer freaked out after my wreck they did not reboot it when they rebuilt the front end and they did not add the new software (??? in my truck?) and that is why it is breaking down. My new fuel injector is bad along with the fuel something else and that is what caused my transmission to break. I am so upset with this, less than 90,000 miles. Anyway, I am not supposed to drive it a lot until I can get it into the next place on Monday. If anyone is bored they could call me, I am practically living at the farm so that I only have to drive out there once a day and I am bored!!!!!
Now, that is way more than anyone needed to hear but it sure felt good to get it out.
Sorry, I was looking forward to it since I thought getting the transmission rebuilt would solve my problems. At least the fuel injector is still under warranty.
