Bogus calls ostensibly from Boyda campaign - freepers getting desperate

E-mail from the (real) Boyda campaign. I guess this is what passes as their GOTV effort.

Hello Nancy's friends,

You have probably been getting angry complaints from people who are being flooded with automated phone calls that seem to come from the Boyda campaign. You need to know that Nancy is not robocalling anyone, and she has no one calling on her behalf. WE ARE NOT BEHIND THE CALLS!

They are illegal. FCC rules say all prerecorded messages must "at the beginning of the message, state clearly the identity of the business, individual, or other entity that is responsible for initiating the call." During or after the message, they must give the telephone number of the caller.

They are hurting all of the hard work that Nancy and all of you have put into this campaign. It appears that they are part of a much larger strategy coming from Washington as outlined in the AP article below.

Please forward this message to as many of your contacts as you can, and ask them to let their friends and neighbors know about this underhanded campaign dirty trick. Make copies of the article to hand out to skeptics.

We do not KNOW who is behind this, but after reading the article, we can make a very good guess. DO NOT blame Jim Ryun; we cannot say that he knows or condones this. But we CAN say that some group is trying to steal the election from Nancy, and they have to be exposed.

2. Ours is ringing off the hook

and most of them are showing up on the caller ID as "out of area" or companies like Venture Data3, a push polling company that is also working for Santorum. The calls from VD3 are from Oregon. The GOP is outsourcing their GOTV. :rofl: I guess they can't get enough volunteers.

too many with nothing to do in most races because they are LOSING so badly? So they call us because nobody has paid enough attention to Kansas to know what is happening here. HA! I guess we should be thrilled with the attention? Hardly. :eyes:

and does speak volumes that, to the best of my recollection, there were NO such calls in 2004 against Boyda. Plus, all those ads she has on television with people, real people telling others to vote Boyda. I saw one of Ryun's ads this morning and it featured Ryun's daughter. LOL I wonder if he's having trouble finding people to appear in his ads. It's like no one wants to be publicly associated with him.

I would have appreciated that but he stopped after the one time he asked for my ideas about what he wanted to do. I wasn't rude, I did not call him the crazy loon that I wanted to, I simply responded and he must not have liked it.

11. We had an appointment

with old Sam, a bunch of us and he did not show up. He knew we were coming to speak to him and the ass just didn't show up. People took time off work, he knew that and he did not show up. I guess we should have expected that.
