KS GOP watch: Who will be the next KS party chair? |
|
Here are the candidates: Tim Huelskamp, state senator from Fowler and a conservative leader in the state legislature; Kris Kobach, RW idiot; and Mike Pompeo a Wichita business man and co-founder of Thayer Aerospace and president of Sentry International (an oilfield equipment business). (source: Lawrence J-W, there may be a link but I am reading the paper copy).
Does anyone know anything about Huelskamp or Pompeo? I think we're all pretty aware of Kris Kobach.
The election will be held later this month. We'll know then which wing of the GOP will be in control. :scared:

1. They're all right-wing |

and none of them are capable of reversing the ongoing decline of the Repubs. I would guess the few remaining moderates in the party structure might go for Pompeo.
The way the conservatives have alienated the moderates in the party (especially in Johnson County) has been truly amazing. I do think that if Sebelius was on the ticket the Democrats could actually win Kansas in 2008.
