The Primary Election Has Begun - Vote Now |
|
In Sedgwick County at least, the Election Commissioner today began processing applications for advance ballots. There are seven important contested Democratic primaries in Sedgwick County, so don't fail to vote. Starting with U.S. Senate, where Lee Jones is up against Jim Slattery, we also have primaries for County Commission (Marcey Gregory vs. Pat Quaney), Senate District 29 (seat Don Betts vacated), House District 84 (seat Oletha Faust-Goudeau vacated), and three judicial primaries. For example, Incumbent Judge Rebecca Pilshaw is the only woman on the Sedgwick County District Court, and she is being challenged by a Republican who changed parties, Ross Hollander.
The primary election is here. Vote before the last day. Vote now so you don't have to stand in line, or brave bad weather. Vote by advance mail ballot in the comfort and calm of your home.

The election office is right up the street from my house.
I love advance voting.
Our state progressive caucus is looking at endorsing a couple Wichita area candidates. When they are finalized, I will post here.
