I've been lurking here for 3 years. Just created a login about 2 weeks ago. I cannot believe Boyda lost. So we took a freshman congresswoman, who's garnered LOTS of national attention, worked her butt off for this district, and tossed her. In a year when democrats took total control Oh yeah, Jenkins is going to be a very effective representative. :freak: The Democratic house leaders are really going to let her do all kinds of good things for the second district. :argh:
JESUS CHRIST, could we be any stupider.

The whole state is going backwards, if statewide election results are any indication. Several good incumbent state legislators lost.

3. She had lots of support in 2004 and 2006 |
|
But many Dems became disenchanted with her after she got to Washington. At least Dennis Moore (my Rep) kept his seat.

4. Yep that whole war deal turned a lot of us off |
|
First she was against the war, then she decided to run for office and the day she took the oath of office, she went on national TV saying she supported the surge.
As much as I want Democratic representation in DC, I am not sure this is the kind of representation that gets you re-elected.

6. I guess "voting with her constituents in mind" didn't do her alot of good |
|
Wasn't that her excuse? She should have danced with the ones who "brung" her.
