1. Do a google map for capitol building. |
|
I have no idea what the roads are like but I always used to drive over to 75 and drive north on it till you can take SW Topeka Boulevard until you can see the dome. It looks like you turn off on SW 10th Ave on the map.

2. Take the Topeka Boulevard exit off of the Turnpike/I70. That's the first big exit that you'll |

come to on the south side of Topeka. Follow Topeka Boulevard north, through town. You're out near 45th street when you get off of the Trunpike and you're going North/downtown to 10th Street. You'll see the Capitol building one block east of Topeka Boulevard when you get to 10th Street. Topeka Boulevard runs one block West of the Capitol Building and the Capitol square is bounded by 10th Street on the South and 8th Street on the North. I think going East on 10th Street from Topeka Boulevard it's: Harrison, then the Capitol square, Jackson, and then Kansas Avenue. The parking is on the North side of the Capitol square, off of 8th street.

I have fond memories of the Capitol Building, played there after school (which is still across the street from there) with my best friend who was Governor Docking's secretary.

She's slender, but tall. Charming and gracious. Smart. Tough with the obstructionist Repubs.
But not petite.
