Strange request: Where can I buy real, full-fat yogurt in the KC area? |
|
I just moved back here, and for the life of me I can't find it anywhere.
I've checked HyVee, Hen House, Target, CostCo, etc and it's all "low fat" or "no fat" Ugh. I used to buy it at Safeway in Denver. It was a standard/staple product, and very cheap.
Are there any old fashioned dairy stores left here? Like Zarda Dairy?
I might have to start making my own, which wouldn't be the end of the world I guess. Thankfully CostCo has cheap whole milk. It's very expensive everywhere else. Milk was $2.00 in Denver, it's $3.98 at the KC grocery stores and $2.60 at CostCo.

Whole Foods?
HyVee used to carry full fat yogurt, but you had to search very carefully for it. And they only had it in a large container, which was annoying to me as I didn't need that much at any one time.
