Dear Kentucky Voters. Are you voting on Tuesday? If so, for whom? |

for James W. Moore to be the Democratic candidate that beats Rep. Anne Northup. If anyone in the 3rd District has noticed the debates, Moore has stood out with his surprising know-how, plain delivery, undisputed integrity, and visionary plans that include running without PAC money and supporting the 8664 initiative. If this man does not win, I want him to run against Mitch McConnell, so he can take some of the corruption out of the Senate rather than the House of Representatives.

2. You don't think Horne has a better chance of beating Northrup? |

But that's not to say Horne's a bad candidate. I just think Horne might play the "I was in Iraq" card too often, and a political campaign cannot be won on just that. That, and I think that you should vote for somebody based not on their tactical skills as a debater or fundraiser, but rather what that candidate stands for. And that's where I am with Moore. Plus, as vulnerable as the Republicans are, specifically ones who talk about how much money they bring in from only-God-knows-whom (ABRAMHOFF!!!!..cough...cough), a grass-roots Democrat with big ideas (light rail in Louisville, anybody?) could mark a big step forward for us. That having been said, if Horne gets the nod, or Yarmuth, or even Farnsley, I'll pull a lever for the Dems when it counts.

5. I fear that Yarmuth's long history of columns will be used against him. |

3. He seems like a good candidate... |

He seems like a good candidate, and I think he could do well if he could get more exposure. The problem is that he got involved in a primary with two other more prominent people running, and his campaign has been largely ignored and forgotten by everybody, including (and as much as I'm ashamed to admit) myself. I think he should try getting more involved politically at a lower level and work his way up, then maybe he wouldn't be ignored like he has been this time.
