I live in Kentucky's 1st Congressional District, where Democrat Tom Barlow is trying to unseat Republican Ed Whitfield.
For a district that used to be so solidly Democratic, it looks like Barlow will have a very tough time beating Whitfield.
I'm helping out with his campaign and I would love to see him win. However, I am also trying to be realistic with my optimism.
Is there any chance Barlow could win?
Let me hear your thoughts.

I hope he wins. People in the first know Barlow. Have any polls been done? Ed Whitfield is just another GOP hack in lock step with Bush. Are the people of the first in a mood to reject "business as usual?" Candidates bought by the highest bidder. In the 2002 Dem primary for Senate, Barlow got very close to defeating Lois Combs Weinberg and only spent $5,000. I hope people are changing their minds and choose to send a message to Bush in November.
