Controversy surrounds the debate between U.S. Senator Jim Bunning and his challenger Dan Mongiardo, which aired Wednesday night on WKYT-TV.
Bunning's campaign now acknowledges that the senator used a teleprompter to aide him in delivering his opening and closing statements in the debate.
Bunning appeared for the taping Monday from a studio at Republican Headquarters in Washington. Mongiardo who was at WKYT's studio did not have the benefit of a teleprompter.
Mongiardo's campaign manager tells 27 NEWSFIRST, "Jim Bunning cheated in the debate by using a teleprompter... trying to fool voters insults their intelligence."

http://www.wymtnews.com/Global/story.asp?S=2425299NOTE THE COMMENT about Mongiardo not having the benefit of a teleprompter. This is on the website of the same station where the debate took place - my local news - and they are very upset about Bunning using a teleprompter. Local news was slamming him this morning.
This is significant... while Mongiardo as a local tends to be treated pretty well by WYMT, overall they tend to have a Republican Bush-lovin' slant. GREAT NEWS.
