Restore America is under a restraining order against the ads.

The father-in-law of Republican gubernatorial nominee David Williams was the sole contributor to a group calling itself Restoring America, which has run radio and television ads on Williams’ behalf, according to its amended campaign finance report .

Terry Stephens contributed $1.365 million to the group after it was formed in September, said the report, filed late Wednesday with the state Registry of Election Finance.
