Attention Kentucky DU-ers: I'm looking for some old friends.

Anybody here ever been part of the 'Rocky Horror' crowd in Louisville? I used to join in the floor-show at the Vogue Theater in the St. Matthews district. Just wanted to know if you know or knew Mick'e, Charlie, Tim, Brandy and the rest of the gang.

2. Actually, I'm in Washington State. But I used to hang out with

the gay crowd in Louisville back when I was in the Army. I'm just looking for some of the dear friends I made back in '92 and '93. Thanks for responding, though! :hi:

But I don't recognize those names. I did it in the early 1980's, with Lucy, Bruce, Chris, Meg, Chuck, Tom, etc.

My god, we had the best time. Lucy and I used to write up trivia quizzes about the show and run up and down the line in our corsets selling them before the show, to make money so we could go to Discovery after the show. I'm quite sure the Lexington Avenue White Castle's business went up ten-fold when we sauntered over there in our Frederick's of Hollywood garb for a pre-show snack.

The owner of the Vogue and his bouncer Carl used to confiscate all the liquor from the people in line and then save it all for the cast, and we'd party in the theater all night! Our Columbia was a true nymphomaniac, with a specialty in virgins (the real kind) and public displays of defloweration.

Man, those were the days. (I hope my mom doesn't see this!)

7. Ahh... Discovery...

I have such fond memories of that place. I enjoyed Connection as well, but Discovery has a permanent place in my heart. I was never part of the RHPS scene, but your mention of Discovery brought back memories. Sorry if I intruded on your string.

9. Ah, Connection! The best club in Louisville, hands down!

I'm not gay, but that was a terrific place! The Le Boys La Femme cabaret act was tops! I used to hang out there with the gang on weekends when RHPS wasn't showing. You might think I would have been leery there, a hot-bodied Army tank crewman like me, but I wasn't. When guys asked me to dance, I politely turned them down; no harm, no foul. Some nights, my friend Brandi (who was a lesbian) and I would go down there by ourselves to enjoy the cabaret. By sitting together, the gay guys would leave me alone, and the straight guys would leave her alone (she was gorgeous!)

Anyway, I miss the place.

would have been early to mid nineties. I was not a regular by any means. I've seen some of the old regulars at Mag Bar in Louisville. But, I don't know their names.
