Ken Lucas has filed to run for his old congressional seat in KY-04 against Geoff Davis. http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/politics/wire/sns-ap-lucas-congress,1,4137376.story?coll=sns-ap-politics-headlines&ctrack=1&cset=trueThis is great news and makes the seat far more competitive. He's conservative but I didn't expect anything else.

2. I will hold my nose and support him for subpoena power |

Ken was the bluest of the "Blue Dog" Democrats. He is ant-choice, pro Iraq war, pro so-called Patriot Act and support Bush most of the time. That said, I will support him to get the terrible Goof Davis out and give the Democratic party control of the House by this time next year.

Lexington, we are seeing a lot of good Democrats running for office. They smell blood in the water.

5. We will just have to make sure we win |

big, well beyond the margin of error.
Our county has the new Hart eSlate. I have talked to several people about them, party loyalist and they are not that concerned over them. They say they have a voter verified paper ballot. I'm still not sure if we can actually see the paper ballot. Until then I am wary.

i was so happy to hear. even tho he is very much conservative. what matters is he'll win. its like i said in the discussion forum sometimes you hafta sacrifice some issues to get other issues heard. atleast with a dem in office and helping take back the house, our ideas will atleast be heard.

The stench is almost unbearable from that DINO, but it's a little worse from Geoff Davis. Other than the party they are running for, it's about six of one and a half dozen of the other. However, being in Northern Kentucky, I might as well support him since I can't very well support Geoff Davis.

9. Well you have to remember this... |
|
Ever since that district was created it has been repersented by nothing but republicans(this was the district that Sen. Jim Bunning repersented) Lucas has only been the sucessful Democrat to repersent that district so maybe he'll do the trick...again.
Yes I know he is very conservative but if it means getting Geoff Davis out of office then so be it. I have hated that man ever since he spoke out in favor of the war(he was the republican rebuttal to Democrat John Murtha's speech on the iraq war.
