CHANGES HER TUNE ABOUT PRIVATIZING SOCIAL
SECURITY? (by DrTed)

Last year, Congresswoman Anne was touting George W’s
plans to privatize social security. As Joey Hunter
wrote in the February 27, 2005 issue of THE BRIDGE:
“I was checking out Northup's website
this 'morning. She's made it extremely
clear where she stands on social security
privatization.”

I (DrTed) couldn’t find any mention of privatization
on her website this year. She now says on that site:
As your Member of Congress, I am working to:

• Protect and strengthen Social Security;

• Keep America’s promise to its retired and disabled
workers and their families;

• Ensure that the Social Security benefits to which
Americans are entitled will be available to today’s
retirees, workers nearing retirement, and younger
workers.
