CONCORD, N.H. (AP) — A Democratic state representative from Manchester has become the first candidate to announce plans to run for Congress in 2006.

Sullivan said he will present “a clear and positive alternative to Jeb Bradley’s status quo approach.”
Debra Vanderbeek, Bradley’s chief of staff, said Bradley would not respond to the criticism.
“We’re focused on our congressional activity and not on the ‘06 election. We have an awful lot on the congressional agenda,” she said.
OK, now you are wondering why this is in the Louisiana forum, right?
Here's why...
Rep. Sullivan lived in New Orleans for a few years in the early 1990s. He graduated from UNO, served in the Louisiana National Guard (141 Field Artillery), and volunteered for several Democratic candidates, including Mary Landrieu and Donald Mintz.
His in-laws live in Algiers, and he visits NOLA on a fairly regular basis.
