1. HI FUNKY BUTT

and thanks for the info. We pegged out our fun meters at the French Quarter Festival and won't be going to Jazzfest, however we'll be in the Quarter Sunday Morning to run in the Bubba Gump 5K. Run is pretty generous description for me, I'll just chug along. They put on a real good show with lots of good eats and drinks after the race. Just another boring day in the Quarter. The weather looks great for this weekend and next. Have a great time.

2. I'm running that too!

It's my first 5k and I'm not much of a runner, but I want that T-shirt. If I get my stickers by then, i'll wear one for the race.

3. I'll be the bald headed guy (wearing a ball cap??)

with a few extra pounds and the beautiful wife. She's "running" it, I'm enjoying the sites.

I'd love to meet you and your lovely wife. I'll be there with my brother. I'd imagine there will be more than one "bald headed guy" who may be wearing a ball cap there.

Could you give me some insight about the route? I've been unable to locate any information about that.

5. This is a pretty good guess

Starts (and ends) in front of Bubba Gump (great chow afterwards). North Peters to Canal to Rampart to Esplanade to Decatur and the adoring crowds then to the beer keg. I'm pretty sure that was the route last year.

I'll be wearing my Sailor T-Shirt. On the back is a quote from President Kennedy:

10. I looked for ya BOSS

I wasn't able to hang around all that long after the race but I looked around for the shirt you described. Seemed to be a pretty large turn out based on a comparison of the results from last year. Sorry we didn't get to meet up.

Did you notice any of the "make music not war" stickers on anyone? We passed out quite a few. I was pretty happy with my time. Now I need a nap.
