He is an emergency worker in the Big Easy, I believe. I heard on the radio that one place where the emergency workers were headquartered was damaged. I sure hope he and the others are all right!

2. I Was Wondering About Him Too |
|
He wouldn't leave because his wife was sick.
He was with kids and a dog.
That's the wild thing, not hearing could mean bad news, could mean he is far too busy dealing with immediate concerns or just has no power, etc.
Does some one want to start a "Louisiana DUers Check In" thread?

in central New Orleans, 15 mins from downtown, walking distance to Tulane and LSU. Does anybody with more New Orleans knowledge than me know if that is one of the flooded areas?

I'll just assume he has no power and more important things to worry about than checking in with DU.

7. Has anyone heard from BOSSHOG? He's in the Pearl River, MS area, I think. |
|
Edited on Mon Aug-29-05 11:31 PM by CottonBear
He's a retired Navy man. Must've evacuated north. My in-laws are in Lacombe and Slidell and Pearl River. No news since this am. The ones in Lacombe stayed. The ones in Slidell and Pearl River evacuated. :scared:

I remember waiting to hear from relatives in Florida after Andrew hit. They turned out to be fine but it took what felt like forever to find that out.
Hope you get good news soon.

9. Thank you. My husband has his sister, cousins and their kids there. |
|
Their parents have passed. Natives of New Orleans all. Grew up in NO and Slidell. Sis and cousins live in Lacombe. my mom's family lived in Al, MS and LA: survived Betsy, Camille and Frederick. I know that Flo's house is probably flooded. I just hope it's standing. Mr. CottonBear's great nephews Mom live)d) in a mobile home in Pearl River, MS. Probably not there now. His neice's in-lawsare w/ her in Lexington, KY. They live in Slidell. :(
God have mercy on us all.
