I made it to Baton Rouge...Finecraft, please post when you make it |
|
After the Atchafalaya Basin bridge, the traffic was horrible coming into Baton Rouge, but at least I made it. I had my doubts for a while. Stay safe, Abbeville!

1. I have friends and relatives coming from Lake Charles |

How bad is the traffic on I-10 prior to the Atchafalaya? I'm in Baton Rouge as well.
Hope your travel wasn't too bad.

along at about 60 mph....but, I left early, at 10:30 this morning. After the basin, slowed to a crawl, literally. They said I49 is moving along very well....could they go north?

come up to Arkansas. Newspaper reports say that we haven't gotten the expected number of evacuees, so I think there should be room. I know that in Harrison AR, a local campground on US 65 North is offering the first night free for hurricane evacuees and a reduced price for an extended stay.
Our cabin is messy, but there's a queen size futon if you find you need to come north.....
