Just Talked to the Office Manager in Monroe |

and she told me that Louisiana is in play. The Repugs are not spending much money in the state, and a lot of female Repugs are not happy with * and have said they privately will be voting for Kerry.
Very few * stickers around northern LA.
She also said "new voters" are running 2-3 to 1 in favor of Dems.

I don't quite know why i'm so interested in this particular contest...even thought about coming there to help out on election weekend. (I'm voting absentee in California)

4. Well Monroe could really use some help |
|
I grew up there but got out as soon as I could. That place was David Duke country and it scared me! From what I can tell, a LOT of african americans in that area must not be registered to vote (i looked at the numbers - Ouachita Parish) Now if we could only get the registered people to get out and vote!
If you'd like to have a little more fun on election day, I'm sure we can find some work for you here in New Orleans ;)
