Both sides point to outside interests

Charges, countercharges, more endorsements and more campaign ads made for a busy day Wednesday on the U.S. Senate campaign trail.
Republican U.S. Rep. David Vitter decried the "invasion" of national Democratic Party interests to run the campaign of his opponent U.S. Rep. Chris John.
John disputed Vitter's claim and tried to distance himself from a television ad attacking Vitter, which was placed by the national Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee.
