But it's the wrong half of the state for me. But if we don't come up with something, I think it's pretty likely we'll see abortion outlawed in LA in the next 6 years as well as an increased emphasis on abstinence-only sex ed. Even though the dumbed-down sex ed classes can lead to even more unwanted pregnancies.
It may be time, in Louisiana anyway, that the pro-choice community comes to a compromise with the pro-life community, or the pro-lifers are going to be able to determine the rest of our rights. We need to get them to understand that abortion is an act of desperation and outlawing it is not going to make it go away.
The best way to reduce abortions is to make REAL sex education available and give women access to birth control.
