I just saw a DU sticker on Congress Street... |
|
... on a white Ford Focus and am all curious to know whose car I walked by. It gave me a little thrill to see another DUer there in the Old Port area. It makes me wonder how many other DUers besides myself work in the Old Port, maybe we should get together for lunch or a beer or something sometime so we can put faces to names.

Mine is a Tan Mazda with a DU sticker on the window. Never seen another DU sticker around here. Good to know there are others out there!

15. Glad to know there are a few of us here! |

As I was mentioning to ticapnews below, if you're ever interested in getting together for a beer and meeting some other are DUers, I'm definitely up for it and suspect it wouldn't be too tough to talk my wife, who is also a DUer, into it as well.

my Kerry-Edwards bumper sticker. I'm thinking of trying to find a customized bumper sticker that says "Don't blame me, I voted for" that I can put next to it!

6. If I had a very nice vehicle I'd probably hesitate, but my |

car is twelve years old and at that stage of its existence where it has dignity only if I turn it into a hippy-mobile moving propoganda machine. :)

I went on a trip right around that time and usually I take the bus to Boston and fly from there. Woohoo! I've been spotted! :hi:

We too were taking the bus to Boston to visit schools with our daughter. I can't remember if it was on the way down or on the way back. I think it was on a Saturday afternoon, but it could have been that Friday morning. I took it as such a good omen about her going to Boston when I saw a DU bumper sticker in the parking lot of the terminal! Well ain't that just something! And glad to know you neighbor!

:hi: By the way, I love your license plate! If you're ever in the Top of the Old Port parking lot, glance about for a red Ford Escort wagon covered in virulently vitriolic anti-shrub stickers - I'm there every Monday through Friday. Do you work downtown, or are you there often? My wife (MountainLaurel) and I are new to Portland and would love to meet area DUers (DUers naturally representing the finest people in any community). Judging from the responses to this post, it sounds like Maine DUers are spread out all over the state, but at least for those of us convenient to the Portland area, maybe we could get together for a beer sometime and put faces to names.
