reducing the school overhead

I have been following the reduction of school administrations in every venue I can find. One of these shakers and movers has appeared several times on t.v.
He spieled about how we could cut superintendents and save millions(he meant and their staffs).
Now that the governor has picked up on this and decided to make it a priority he has decided that the cuts are to much.
This person now has no credence in my book. he's a flip flopper who i think takes an idea and runs with it while it's still in the hopper being developed.(in this case the think tank at maine heritage); I think he's strictly a head line grabber who runs with and idea that is partially developed.
Lets hope he doesn't have the same effect on this plan as he did on tabor!
I believe we need to cut education costs while ever in proving the learning experience. and only the foolish want to cut the lap-top program.
like the black board in our day,the computer is a necessary learning tool!

3. Lucky, you will find this funny
Hey Lucky,

I met the Fox guy Ray Richardson when his family was sledding at Payson Park in Portland on Sunday. I recognized him from the television. He is not at all what you have painted him to be on this website.

He reads your stuff here and finds it amusing. He also said you are wrong. He is not a Repuke as you put it, he is a conservative who happens to be a Republican.

He said to tell you that since you know the Governor, you should tell him to be more aggressive on the school consolidation plan. The Govenor has the right idea and needs to take the fight to the people.

He also said he gets hundreds of emails whenever you write bad stuff about him from his audience.

Just thought you would like to know. It is a pretty small world.

6. JUST SO U KNOW
Edited on Tue Jan-30-07 04:59 AM by luckyleftyme2
I KNOW HE READS MY POSTS;HENCE HE READ THEM IN AS MAINE GOES. I ALSO KNOW MAINE DEM. MILE 53,
BOB STONE ETC.
HE HAS BEEN ON THIS KICK ABOUT SCHOOLS FOR A LONG TIME,AND THE IDEA OF CUTTING COSTS ARE GOOD.
BUT SOME OF HIS QUESTS HAVE WAFFLED ON HIM.
AND THAT WAS THE REASON FOR THIS POST.
AND ANOTHER THING IS HE MINGLES WITH MANY I KNOW,AND THE POINT I MAKE IS,HE HAS A TV SHOW THAT NEEDS RATINGS TO SURVIVE. AS LONG AS THE VIEWER REALIZES THIS,AND ALL IS NOT WRITTEN IN STONE
IS FINE.
I HAPPEN TO THINK HIS CO-HOST MAY BE MORE ACCURATE AT TIMES. TO DISAGREE IS FINE,TO DAMN EITHER LIBERALS OR REPUBLICANS CONSTANTLY IS SAD. MY REASONING IS WE ALL HAVE GOOD AND BAD IDEAS!
IRAQ IS ONE OF THEM!

5. I don't try to make people think anything of me
How rude you are to insinuate that. Your post may be pointed but it's not clear. Big difference.

Just where do you get off with being so rude? I give up. You have made this Maine forum a joke. You can have it as far as I'm concerned.

TO CALL TODAYS REPUBLICAN PARTY FISCAL CONSERVATIVE IS TO GO THROUGH LIFE WITH YOUR HEAD IN THE SAND!
THATS WHY I LEFT IT DURING THE REGAN ERA! BUT STILL VOTED FOR COHEN,SNOW AND COLLINS UNTIL
2000, LAST ELECTION WAS A STRAIGHT DEMOCRATIC BALLOT AS WILL BE THE NEXT!

9. Too over the top to be credible
The thought has crossed my mind that he's a shill for Scott Fish sent to do his best to scupper this much needed alternative to the ArMyofGod.

10. its good to see the gov. on the road

It seems good to see the gov. on the road with his plan to reduce the overhead in the school costs.
I wonder how many of the negatives at these hearings(meetings) were hollering for it on fox?
or sending "e" mails(ha ha) all 300 of them haha! prior to his re-election.
what the final out come will be is bound to be an improvement to what we have now.
its sort of like what you hear when you build a road, when your doing the engineering of it the area is all for it.when you start building it,why do you have to tear up the street, why my driveway, why my tree, why in the warm weather(duh) etc etc.
and as always the one that screams the loudest is usually the one that wanted it the most!

11. lucky
The fox guy has supported the Governor to the point the think tank guy is becoming annoyed. Ray said today the Governor is doing a night time show on this issue. I think he really is on the Governor's side this time.

He is pretty funny. When the guy called in saying he should have more children, he said he was sure willing to practice. Subtle, but I got the message. Pretty funny.
