new york times article on veterans health care for iraqi and Afghan vets is mind boggling! Its another black eye for the " DUBYA$CHENEY " GROUP. Being a vet I see once again the bottom line is the play of the day!

has never been great, but it's gotten so much worse under this administration it alone should be grounds for impeachment. A couple of years ago I went up to Togus to see what I needed to do to get signed up for the prescription plan there. (Vets can get scripts filled for less than $5.) I was told I needed to be seen by a primary care physician first, and that the waiting list to be assigned one was two years! I figured if the wait was that long, there must be vets who needed the services a lot more than I. I'm in good health (knock wood), and we have decent health insurance and co-pays right now. So I took a pass. Maybe when I get closer to retirement, I'll go back.

co-pay for prescriptions is now $8 per; which is still a good savings if your on a fixed income as I am. I am very pleased with the care I have received; but this is one function of our taxes that I have always supported. If we can't care for our veterans,we become a society of hypocrites!
