I'll leave the link for all to read;this has been a fact for years that we have the highest cost of health care in the world with the poorest return for the money.The reason is greed,you pay to a company that cares only for the bottom line. please read this for your own benefit.

certainly debunks what you have been taught doesn't it. and this has been fact for years.
like the five canadians families I talked to in Bangor last year (not my relatives)
they had a much easier time getting heart surgery,reaching a dr. and their cost was
zilch compared to mine.

All you have to do is listen,I mean really listen to what programs like wlob had on this morning to realize why Maine will be last to join a national health care system.
TALKING ABOUT A STATE RUN HEALTH INSURANCE PROGRAM COMPARED TO A COUNTRY WIDE INSURANCE HEALTH PROGRAM IS LIKE COMPARING A KID WITH A PAPER AIRPLANE TO A JET.
The state run programs in all states that have tried them are geared to fail.
ONE OF THE REASONS IS FUNDING.
No private insurance companies overcharge for their services,often avoid paying wearing the customer down with paper responses and fine print.
THE ONLY WAY TO BRING HEALTH CARE UNDER CONTROL AND AFFORDABLE IS TO HAVE A NATIONAL HEALTH CARE POLICY.
WE ARE THE ONLY COUNTRY IN THE WESTERN WORLD NOT TO HAVE A NATIONAL HEALTH CARE SYSTEM,TO HAVE 25% OF OUR POPULATION WITH NO HEALTH CARE! IT HAS MADE US NON-COMPETITIVE IN THE MANUFACTURING WORLD. WHILE THE INSURANCE COMPANIES GET FAT ALONG WITH EVERY BUSINESS PARTNER IN THE HEALTH INDUSTRY.
75% OF MAINERS BELIEVE CANADIANS HAVE WORSE HEALTH ACCESSIBILITY AND HIGHER COSTS THAN THEY DO WHEN THE OPPOSITE IS TRUE. MAINERS PAY ALMOST DOUBLE WHAT CANADIANS PAY
AND ALL CANADIANS HAVE HEALTH CARE,MANY MAINERS HAVE NONE.
