Listened to the noon news and they ran a segment of national news about the british hostages.
the theme of it was that insurgents may have infiltrated the iraqi military and police.
I MEAN REALLY WHO IS THE INCOMPETENT LEADER GIVING DIRECTIONS? WHEN WE HAVE DAILY
ACTS OF INCOMPETENCE SHOWN ON NATIONAL TV HOW CAN THEY EXPECT TO EVER END THIS STUPID
VENTURE.
THERE IS NO WAY THAT I WANT ONE MORE PENNY OF MINE SPENT THEIR. THERE IS NO WAY I WANT ANYMORE OF MY FAMILY'S BLOOD SPILLED THEIR.
AND I PERSONALLY THINK ALL THOSE THAT SUPPORT THIS AFTER FOUR YEARS OF COMPLETE INCOMPETENCE NEED A SANITY CHECK!

1. New rule

Let's have a new law, or perhaps better an amendment to the Constitution, that those presidents and members of congress who vote for a war or who vote for continued funding for a war have to be the first ones to fight in it -- 12-month-tour front line ground pounders, not REMFs. With their spouses and children over 18, too!

Heinlein once proposed that every war be put to popular vote. All those who voted for it would be the first in uniform to fight it, followed by those who didn't vote at all, with those who voted against coming in last.
