Once again fryburg aquifers are in the news. while many of us sleep, our maine water is being shipped at a larger and larger quantity out of state. this paper has been fair in presenting both sides of this business and I think staying neutral. the paper is a weekly paper and I think one of finest small town newspapers printed. this weeks article is on the front page:"water warriors" taking on the multinationals. Maude BARLOW AN INTERNATIONALLY ACCLAIMED AUTHOR OF THE 2002 BEST SELLER BLUE GOLD:THE FIGHT TO STOP THE CORPORATE THEFT OF THE WORLD'S WATER AND ABOUT THE WORLD MOUNTING WATER CRISIS. JIM WILFONG OF STOW,FOUNDER OF H20 FOR ME. ALSO SPOKE OF HIS EFFORT TO HAVE MAINE GROUND WATER PLACED IN PUBLIC TRUST. I don't have time to or plan to type the whole article but believe me this crisis is as bad as the clear cuts of the 70's only the consequences are greater;it won't be just the paper mills leaving. to those of you who think you got years ask how many times nestles has changed areas in less than 10 years. BULK SHIPPING TO OTHER STATES TAKES JOBS AWAY FROM MAINERS. DO YOU THINK CORPORATIONS CARE ABOUT PRESERVING MAINE, CREATING JOBS FOR MAINERS?
