It WAS GREAT TO hit the lake this week. the out of staters showed up sat. with their jet ski's but I was on my way to camp with my limit by then. not much activity from 4:30 -7:00. nice and peaceful. lake was calm and fish rolling everywhere.
we had fresh salmon fillets with home fries and eggs. mmm mmm
It's great to be a MAINER IN MAINE!

1. LOL!! - I spent most of the day Saturday putting *in* my brother's and cousin's boats and docks

then Sunday morning the camp shower drain clogged - spent most of the day trying to buy a snake to get it unclogged...

then Monday after the Parade, I spent the afternoon pulling my brother's and cousin's boats *out* of the water...

Did manage to catch some good sized bass (on streamers) and lost a nice brookie at the outlet...

and drank some best home brewed hard cider ever made around the fire both nights...

Oh yeah - I went swimming every single day - the water was - ahem - "refreshing"...

WAS FISHING LONG LAKE YESTERDAY-GALE WINDS AFTER 9AM WE FOUND A LEE AREA NEAR HARRISON END AND SEE TWO GUYS MOVING DOCK PIECES AND A LADY IN LAKE-WE HAD WINTER JACKETS ON AND WERE COLD TROLLING. AS WE GOT CLOSER WE SEE SHE HAD A WET SUIT ON .STILL BRRRRRRR!
WE GOT ONE SALMON AND LOST ONE LEFT EARLY BECAUSE OF WIND.
WHERE IS THAT 70 DEG WEATHER?
TRY YELLOW MUDDLER OR BURKES GOLD MINNOW. THEY LIKE THAT COLOR THIS TIME OF YEAR.
