I was talking with fight4my3sons today and we were thinking that we should do some kind of a celebration when Obama gets elected.

I'm in Cushing, fight is near by...if she wants to tell you where she is she can. Neither of us wanted to travel too far because we both have small kids.

Not the weekend after the election because I think that maybe too short of notice for everyone, plus I have to put in for time off if it's Sat. night.

So, my thoughts are Sat. the 15th at the Whale's Tooth, around 6pm....

My boss at an Inn that i work at is coming back on the 14th, and i am worried I may have to work. I will do every thing I can to get out of it if people are into it. I would love to meet Maine DUers.

Let's make sure Obama wins (I still don't see Cheney & his ilk giving up their power that easily), and I'd be happy to meet up...Belfast area sounds good to me (Liberty).

Maine-ah and I were saying "if we are celebrating next week we should get together" during the conversation. Then thought that it would be nice to try to get more DUers together.

BTW, I am in Rockport and Maine-ah is somewhere around Rockland area, but I can't remember which little town it is.

I just got back from door knocking in Rockland and had a blast! A bit chilly, but lots of fun.

I like your idea for the 15th. I'll have to try to find a sitter for my three.

He thinks everybody on DU hates him... delusions of grandeur... I even asked the STBE but, not surprisingly, he declined. Right now my wicked car is in the shop, as if reinforcing my belief that it won't make it more than twenty miles without crapping out. *Sigh* :D

19. I think a lot of people around the board are doing meet-ups

around the time of the inauguration. Maybe if we plan for around that time (weather permitting) it would be easier for scheduling, especially with the upcoming holidays. Also we could work out places to stay and rides, if needed. We just got so excited it may have been short notice to try to do it for this weekend.
