Hey, Mainers! We really, really need a meetup.
What are there, ten of us? How hard can it be to plan a get-together? I live in Bangor which is convenient to nobody, but I'd be willing to host an event. Thoughts? Excuses? Do you not think we'd all get along? :P

Anyhow, don't you think it's time?

1. Ayuh
Speed Bump (AKA Old And In The Way) and self are in the same time zone as Bangor. Perhaps around the time the corn is ready for picking? (If the friggin rain will give the sun a chance to do its thing)

If the sun stays hidden, the main course could be deep fried slugs with a side of grilled frog legs.

2. I'm not that far from Bangor.
I just have three boys that are with me all the time due to the husband that usually works 7 days out of the week. I'd have to either find a rare day that my husband is off or maybe bring the kids with me if that is ok.

3. Bangor is a 25 -35 minute drive for me. I'd be interested in a meet up.
I hit the Whig & Courier or Paddy Murphy's every once in a while for a Guinness anyway.

4. I'm quite close to Bangor and would love to get together
rather than meeting at a bar or coffee shop, since some people have children, why not a cookout/picnic or some such?

5. I'm in Belgrade and could make the trip in about an hour.
Besides, it would give me a chance to eat at Texas Roadhouse and make a stop at the mall, as well as meet up with some Maine DUers. Good idea!!!

6. Meet up
There was talk about a TMB meet up before the site went dark. It's going to take some time to rebuild readership at the new site, Dirigo Blue, but you are more than welcome to advertise a meet up there.

Cheers
