IF we all vote for him. He is attracting attention, moderates, independents, and even Republicans who in the final analysis can't stomach LaPage. Mitchell can not win at this point. I am a Mitchell supporter myself, but the Democratic party did a terrible job on her campaign and blew it with the attack ads on Cutler. They have had the opposite of the desired effect. So put aside loyalty and vote for the guy who can actually beat LaPage. There is no other choice. Just do it.

LePage....
Alright though, I apologize unorthodox, and I hope you'll accept my apology. It's not fair of me to be mean to the messenger just because I don't like the message. And it's not as if I don't make mistakes myself.
I'll probably be voting Cutler too as long as I'm reasonably sure he has a chance to beat LePage. It's anyone but LePage for me at this point. At least Cutler has a brain and is fairly liberal on social issues. I'm going to do a final check of the polls before I head out today.
But again, sorry unorthodox. I was being a bit of a crankpot and you didn't deserve that. This election has gotten on my last nerve but that still is no excuse to pick on a fellow Maine-iac.
Oh, and to you, eShirl, I saw on another thread that you feel bad about voting Mitchell because you early voted. I stayed silent at the time because GPV had already said to you the same thing I was thinking... you had no way of knowing. I echo that. You did what you thought right with what info you had to go with at the time. You shouldn't feel bad about it.

3. Totally agree and did it. Too bad, but Cutler is the only hope of stopping LePUKE. |

Mitchell can't win. Cutler has a chance -- but only a chance. We can all agree that LePage would be a DISASTER.

I wish I could vote for Libby, but I feel it is more important to beat LePage. Interesting times ahead.

I did not let the media control my vote.

9. The Maine Democratic party blew it. Big time. |

Like Angus King, I made up my mind after the fortune cookie mailing. After that, I KNEW I was not going to vote for Libby. Even though I had no personal animosity toward her.
You don't fall back on racism and xenophobia to support your candidate. Ever.

10. The sad thing was she lined up best with me out of all the candidates. Very disappointing. |

If I had waited until this week, I would have voted for Cutler.

12. I've heard a lot of people say that. This is proof that our pluarality voting system |
|
is a failure, because it's become a case of strategic "voting against" rather than "voting for."
