Gas jumped from $2.95 to $3.45 for regular in So. Maryland this afternoon.

In NC, the governer has announced that the state is dependent on the Gulf Coast for 90% of its gas and is now calling for conservation. How dependent is MD on gulf oil?

In Baltimore. The Shell station in Mt. Washington (Smith Ave) is out of regular gas, too.

and it had jumped up to 3.41. AND they were out of mid-grade and premium. Some asshat was whining because he "can't put REGULAR in car (a mercedes)."

Jumped .50 since yesterday alone at a station that I usually frequent that has 2nd lowest prices in town.
